What you liked: The music, sliding scale, peaceful setting, walk-in accessibility, informality of clinic, sense of community, and "Everything." Many appreciate the smells; I diffuse essential oils as aromatherapy...let me know if you are interested in ordering oils for yourself, and I'll notify you of my next order placement. As for the results of treatment, 95% of you reported one or more positive outcomes, and 99% of you said the acupuncturist is friendly, respectful, and approachable (thank you!).
What you didn't like: The music...both liked and disliked.
The lack of chairs. Overwhelmingly, the lazy-boy recliners are preferred, but some of you don't feel comfortable in those available. In the interest of both reducing our impact on the environment and managing overhead expenses (so that services remain affordable for you), I reuse furniture and decor wherever possible in the clinic. So if you have an old recliner collecting dust in your rec room, or if you find a great chair at Goodwill or a yard sale, let me know and I'll arrange to pick it up. (Smoke and pet-free, please.)
The table was overwhelmingly disliked: only 20% of you remotely liked it; the rest either were neutral or actively disliked it. I hear you, and I will work to replace it with more of the chairs that you prefer!
Other concerns: Some of you expressed concern that even with the sliding scale it can be difficult for a family to receive frequent acupuncture care. If you are interested in learning about volunteer opportunities for trade, please let me know.
Hours. I understand that the clinic's limited evening hours present a challenge in receiving regular acupuncture care, and I appreciate your patience while the clinic grows to the point at which it can support a second salary. Your continued referrals, posting of flyers, and distribution of business cards help support that growth.
A word from our sponsor: 65% of you receive acupuncture once a week or less. If your symptoms decrease on this schedule, great! If not, come more often. A big part of the reason that I use a sliding scale is so you can afford to receive frequent acupuncture services. Traditionally, acupuncture is given every day for ten days in a row, then a ten day break, followed by further ten day courses as necessary. I realize that most of you don't have time to come in that frequently, and therefore I strongly encourage you to receive acupuncture 2-3 times per week for the first few weeks. Remember that I would much rather have you receiving acupuncture often and paying a little each time and getting better, than to have you receiving it infrequently and paying more each time and not improving much. I want you to get healthy; I want you to come in often. As symptoms diminish, so too can the frequency of your treatments.
Referrals: Wow! 100% of you have recommended the clinic to friends and family. Thank you!! Community Acupuncture depends upon a high volume of patients to succeed financially...please continue to think of us in the future for your friends/family. Extra business cards and flyers are available at the check-out desk...pass them out like chocolate!
Music: While 94% of you found it peaceful, a few individuals didn't like the selection available. A few thought it was too loud (2%), while others felt it was too quiet (4%), and another 4% thought the sound quality was uneven. Please remember that disposable earplugs are available when you walk in the treatment room by the blankets and pillows, and you are always invited to bring your own MP3/IPod player with your favorite tunes.
Temperature: A few of you felt the room was cold. Since the survey, blankets and scarves in varying weights and sizes have been made available immediately upon entering the treatment room. Please grab what you'd like (including any pillows). I've also bumped the thermostat up a few notches, and the number of space heaters has been increased so that there is one next to every chair. If you feel chilly, please speak-up. Remember that there is a baby monitor in the room and at my desk, so even if I'm not in the treatment space, I can hear you if you need something.
Thank you again…if I haven’t directly addressed your concern, please don’t hesitate to talk with me personally, or send me an email. I are extremely grateful for your feedback and will continue to endeavor to serve the community well.
With Loving Gratitude, Jessica Feltz Wolfson

"The thing I like most about The Turning Point is the owner, Mrs. Wolfson. She is the first impression one receives when arriving at the establishment, and her mood is always calm, peaceful, and sincere. I am absolutely sure that she has the best interest in my well-being as a visitor to the acupuncture center, and this is refreshing and pleasant because it seems unusual to receive this treatment from a medical professional these days, not to mention the lack of common courtesy from people in one's day to day life."
"I like that it is very easy to get an appointment and that I can pay what I can afford."
"1. Jessica has a wonderful chair-side manner. She makes you feel totally comfortable with something that takes a bit of getting used to. 2. The atmosphere is very relaxing. 3. The sliding scale means I can go as often as I need to."

"I like how open and upbeat Jessica is. I like the walk in aspect of the clinic."
"Quiet, relaxing, and your competence in your craft."
"I love the peaceful sanctuary you have created, Jessica. In addition, I do not mind being around other clients as we all sit together to receive our healing--it feels more community-like, almost indigenous and perhaps as it should feel and be. Thank you and I hope to be back soon again!"
