The community acupuncture movement has generated enormous amounts of goodwill, support, and appreciation from patients and practitioners alike. A cooperative is a means to channel and leverage all of that "social capital" into practical structures that can increase and sustain community acupuncture clinics. As a member of the People's Organization of Community Acupuncture, you can invest your time into the cooperative; the return on your investment is that more people get more affordable acupuncture!
Clinic volunteers at The Turning Point have:
- hung our large bulletin board
- removed broken recliner chairs
- supported our May Day events with food, reception, & music
- printed newsletters & fliers
- managed front office projects
- provided videography services
- donated blankets, chairs, fountains, artwork, music
- promoted us on Facebook and in their workplaces
Would you like to support our clinic? We have several volunteer opportunities available:
- Help with our upcoming documentary screening: flier creation, press release writing, submitting PSA's, selling tickets or merchandise, participating on a patient panel...
- One-time maintenance (patch some holes, secure loose baseboards, touch-up paint as needed in clinic)
- Annual plant care (re-potting, fertilizing, etc)
- Updating our website (new look, photos, text, graphics, etc)
- Hanging fliers around town, your workplace, spiritual/church community, school, etc.
- Something else that you can think of?
